Creative Energy helps commercial property owners and developers find new income, value, and cost savings in their buildings and land. We combine property expertise with the right energy technologies and specialist partners.
We start by understanding the client and their property. Once an opportunity looks viable, we bring in the operator, funder or network partner best placed to move the project forward.
ROUTE / 01
Funded generation and storage
Depending on the property, projects can be structured through a PPA, asset finance, direct investment or a joint venture.

02 / The opportunity
Unused space. Untapped commercial routes.
The opportunity might be on the roof, behind the meter, in the grid connection, across the car park or in the land itself.
We start with the property, not a predetermined technology. Then we test what is physically, electrically and commercially realistic, so owners can focus on the ideas worth pursuing.

A large roof could support fully funded solar, a behind-the-meter PPA or an asset-financed system. We check the structure, energy demand, tenure and grid position first.

A busy car park could generate income from rapid EV charging, a solar canopy or both. We look at how the site is used, how vehicles move through it and what power is available.

Surplus land could support solar, battery storage, charging or waste-to-energy. The answer depends on planning, access, grid capacity and the wider location.

03 / Why now
Power can change the deal.
How a site is connected, who adopts the network and what can be generated on site can materially change development costs, viability and asset value.
Understanding power is now part of understanding the deal.
PROPERTYPOWERINCOME + VALUE
04 / Opportunity routes
Six routes. One property view.
The technology follows the opportunity. The commercial model may change, but the first test is always the same: does it fit the property and work for the people responsible for it?
01
Fully funded solar & storage
Depending on the property, solar and battery storage can be funded through a PPA, asset finance, direct investment or a joint venture.
We look at how the network is connected and adopted, with the aim of securing an asset value offer, reducing power costs and improving development viability.
For suitable land, we assess funded wind development or a long-term lease, taking wind resource, planning, ecology, access and grid connection into account.
We review the whole asset. Not a single technology.

05 / How we work
Property insight in. Commercial route out.
We begin with the portfolio, narrow down the strongest opportunities, find the right partners and help move the best options towards a deal.
01Review the portfolio
We look at the sites, rooftops, land, development plans, power position and what matters most to the owner.
02Screen the opportunity
We test what is physically and electrically viable, including demand, access, restrictions and risk.
03Structure the route
We compare the commercial structures that could work, from leases and PPAs to joint ventures and asset value offers.
04Match the market
We bring in the operator, funder, supplier or network partner best suited to the project.
05Negotiate & progress
We negotiate the terms and set out clear next steps around the property and the owner’s priorities.
06 / Selected projects
From viable opportunity to delivered project.
These projects show how an opportunity can be assessed, aligned with the right energy technologies and partners, and progressed through a commercial agreement to delivery.
Together they span rooftop solar, battery storage, solar carports, and multi-site ground-mounted solar delivery.

With a large roof available, the opportunity for solar was clear. The challenge was finding a solution that worked with the roof itself. This project paired a 1 MWp rooftop solar system with a 1 MW lead-acid battery. Bespoke aluminium mounting pots were used to overcome the roof constraint and enable installation. The completed system delivers measured annual savings of £180,000 and more than 130 tonnes of CO₂ each year.

07 / Confidence to act
Property judgement. Energy market access.
Energy markets move quickly. We help property owners make sense of them, rule out weak ideas early and have better-informed conversations with the right specialists.
01Property first
We begin with the property, the development plan and what the owner wants to achieve.
02Commercial options
We compare the available deal structures before recommending an option.
03Curated market
We introduce specialists only when their offer genuinely fits the opportunity.
